It used to be that we wouldn’t see ticks on our dogs until May. Now they are starting to appear in early March. Global warming! Here is a gross fat tick we pulled off our dog Darby:

Every few years in spring we burn our wildflower field. This allows us to chop down the new trees and bushes trying to grow in the field, and clears the way for new flowers to emerge.
