We held a memorial for my father, Tom Martin, on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield.
The United States Marine Fox Company – Milwaukee I & I performed military honors for my father by folding the U.S. Flag and playing Taps.
We enjoyed a nice Friday fish dinner at Range Line Inn in Mequon.

Chicago is a fun place to visit, but a terrible place to pass through. It took us four hours to travel through the city. We hit south Chicago at 1pm on a Friday, but the traffic had already slowed to a crawl.

Our garden is full of fritillaries, a family of butterflies with over 100 varieties. Fritillaries are medium to large-sized butterflies with brownish-orange wings that have wavy black lines and spots. Unlike most butterflies that have larger front legs with claws, fritillaries have tiny front legs that lack claws.
