We had a traditional Christmas turkey dinner with all the trimmings.  It was good food and great fun with family and friends.

One of my father’s favorite Christmas activities was to make rosettes, a traditional Scandinavian fried cookie.  We celebrated Dad’s birthday by making dozens of rosettes with a 130-year-old rosette iron that originally belonged to Grandma Semke’s mother.

We had a fun party on July 3rd.  There was a yummy cookout, good fireworks, and great friends.

If you climb onto the porch swing, you can be sure that Shadow will try to join you!  Here Shadow enjoys a nice doggie sandwich between Di and Zadee.

Joel (above) in his Mystic Ninja costume defends our Halloween Party from evil spirits.  

For what seems like the 20th year in a row, David won our Best Pumpkin contest with his FREEHAND (!) carving of a zebra (above).  David is the "Tiger Woods of pumpkin carving" at our annual Halloween party.  

Michael (above) with his ghoulish gander was the winner of the Scary Face Contest at our Halloween party this year.
