This Really Ticks Me Off

It used to be that we wouldn’t see ticks on our dogs until May.  Now they are starting to appear in early March.  Global warming!

Here is a gross fat tick we pulled off our dog Darby:

    They were huge!!!!! Does our dog need any antibiotics?? Please respond if you get this.

  7. If you live out in the country like we do, you will find literally hundreds of ticks on your dogs during the course of the summer. So finding a tick on a dog is not cause for alarm. However, if you notice your dog acting sluggish, has a loss of appetite or a fever, then take your dog to the vet, and tell the vet that your dog had been bitten by a tick. Dogs can get Lyme disease.
