We recently flew from Northern Kentucky to El Paso, Texas, on our way to Big Bend National Park.
Taking off from CVG, the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport. Here we see the Ohio River fogged in, as it often is in the early morning.
Approaching the Denver airport. An early snow in October blanketed the ground.
Flying over the Rocky Mountains on our way to Texas.
Flying over El Paso, Texas.
Everything in Texas is super-sized, including its freeways.
In case you cannot see the sign, I-10 East from El Paso to Big Bend National Park has a speed limit of 80 miles per hour. But the land is so vast that even at 80 mph you feel like you are hardly moving.
You can look at this mountain as an obstacle or a beautiful distraction along your way.
We stopped for a break at a picnic area along a railroad track with beautiful mountains flanking us the entire way. Those orangish “dots” on the bottom right of the photo are dozens of small pumpkins that were somehow dumped here.
Keep it on the straight and narrow.

We saw this U.S. Air Force blimp for miles. Is it a weather blimp or spy blimp or… ?
His head is in the clouds.

What a butte!
One of many beautiful Texas sunsets we saw on our trip.
Absolutely beautiful, breathtaking pictures! Glad the both of you had a wonderful time.
I always like perspective shots so the railroad and the mountain in the clouds were very fun to see.
Hope to see more soon!
