We visited EnterTRAINment Junction in northern Cincinnati today. This unique indoor family entertainment center has 80,000 square feet of family fun. It boasts the world’s largest (25,000 sq. ft.) indoor train display, railroading museum, hand-cranked railroad car that you can drive, children’s play area, walk-thru mazes and holiday displays.

Joel, David, Zadee, Lauren, Di and Theresa all enjoyed the train display.

Ninety large, G-scale (1/24 size) trains travel on more two miles of track. Each of 1,200 train cars is about the size of a loaf of bread. The train display includes three distinct times in U.S. railroading history: Early Period (1830s through the Civil War to late 1890s), the Middle Period (1900 to 1950s) and the Modern Period (1960s to the present).

The detail in the train display is amazing. Here we see a grizzly bear dining on a fish from the river.

Joel tells the sweet old lady, “That tray seems heavy… Let me hold it for you.”

Joel informs Santa that he wants an official Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot range model air rifle. Thoughtful Zadee asks for world peace… oh, and an iPod.

Here is the work room where they build and repair the trains.

This special holiday displays was filled with trains and Christmas trees.

Lauren, Di, Zadee and Theresa take a break. We had a really fun time.
